The School of Modern Languages wishes to appoint a fixed-term Teaching Fellow in Spanish Linguistics to replace Professor Ian Mackenzie who has been awarded a Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship for 12 months from September 2017. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver two existing modules (World Spanish and Spanish & Romance Word Analysis), and to contribute to the first-year Introduction to Linguistics module. They will also take on undergraduate-related administrative roles, and may be required to contribute to language teaching.
Experience & qualifications:
Applicants must hold a first degree in a subject area relevant to the post, and hold or have nearly completed a PhD in a relevant subject area.
Applicants must also have experience of undergraduate teaching in Spanish Studies.
Skills & qualities:
Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English. They must have the qualities required to provide excellent teaching to undergraduates and postgraduates.
