37th AESLA international conference – Valladolid 2019

The 37th International Conference of the Spanish Society for Applied Linguistics (AESLA) will be held next 27-29 March 2019 at the Palacio Conde Ansúrez in Valladolid (Spain). It is organized by scholars and researchers from the departments of English, of French and German, of Spanish and of the Didactics of Language and Literature from the University of Valladolid. It is coordinated by the UVALAL (University of Valladolid Language Acquisition Lab) research group. The theme for the AESLA 2019 conference is bilingualism and languages in contact. This year’s edition intends to address the study of bilingualism in its different dimensions and through the use of multiple methodologies and formal accounts as used by researchers in the field. We target the linguistic phenomena that emerge when more than one language interact in the mind of bilingual speakers with different linguistic profiles and how this evolves during their life span.

37º congreso internacional de AESLA – Valladolid 2019

El 37º congreso internacional de la Asociación Española de Lingüística Aplicada (AESLA) se celebrará del 27 al 29 de marzo de 2019 en el palacio de congresos Conde Ansúrez de Valladolid. Lo organizan profesores e investigadores de los departamentos de Filología Inglesa, Filología Francesa y Alemana, Lengua Española y Didáctica de la Lengua y la Literatura de la Universidad de Valladolid y está coordinado por el grupo de investigación UVALAL (Laboratorio de Adquisición del Lenguaje de la Universidad de Valladolid). Bajo el lema bilingüismo y lenguas en contacto, el objetivo de AESLA 2019 es ahondar en el estudio del bilingüismo en sus distintas dimensiones a través de las múltiples metodologías y propuestas teóricas utilizadas por diferentes investigadores. El foco se situará en los fenómenos lingüísticos que se producen cuando distintas lenguas interactúan en la mente de los hablantes bilingües con distintos perfiles y durante las distintas etapas del proceso de adquisición-aprendizaje.
