The Research Unit Questions at the Interfaces (http://typo.uni-konstanz.de/questionsInterfaces/), which started in April 2016, will be organizing a two-day workshop on interrogation in Romance for doctoral students. All kinds of methodological approaches will be welcome, including theoretical as well as empirical working projects. The workshop is intended to be a networking event, offering a platform for exchanging ideas, methodological problems, and results with regard to research on Romance interrogatives.

Several experts will also be present and give feedback on the student research projects. We are pleased to announce our two keynote speakers: Jenny Doetjes (member of Understanding Questions, Universiteit Leiden) and Ur Shlonsky (member of Wh in situ in French: Syntax and Prosody, Université de Genève) will talk about their previous and ongoing research conducted in the course of their respective projects. For more details, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that there will be the possibility of applying for financial support from our research unit. For further details, please contact katharina.kaiser@uni-konstanz.de .

We welcome abstracts for presentations addressing any aspect of question forms in Romance languages. There will be 30-minute slots for the student talks, leaving space for presentations of about 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of discussion. Anonymous abstracts of one page are to be submitted in English as PDF files via EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ri17

Abstract submission deadline: February 06, 2017
