Informationen zum Langzeitprojekt Lessico Etimologico Italiano (LEI)

Das 1968 von Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Max Pfister begründete, international herausragende historisch-lexikographische Langzeitprojekt Lessico Etimologico Italiano (Italienisches Etymologisches Wörterbuch, LEI) stellt gegenwärtig eines der weltweit größten etymologischen Vorhaben dar. Gegenwärtig wird das Projekt von Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Wolfgang Schweickard (Universität des Saarlandes) und Univ.-Prof. Dr. Elton Prifti (Universität Wien) geleitet.

Die Stelle ist zunächst bis zum 31.1.2020 befristet, mit Option auf Entfristung des Arbeitsverhältnisses.

Beschäftigungsausmaß: 40.0 Stunden/Woche
Einstufung gemäß Kollektivvertrag: §54 VwGr. IVa
Darüber hinaus können anrechenbare Berufserfahrungen die Einstufung und damit das Entgelt bestimmen.

Ihre Aufgaben:
- Koordination der LEI-Arbeitsstelle (Lessico Etimologico Italiano) an der Universität Wien
- Koordination von Redaktionstätigkeiten (Betreuung, Verwaltung und Koordination der RedaktionsassistentInnen)
- Tätigkeiten im Rahmen des gesamten Redaktions-, Revisions- und Tätigkeiten im Rahmen des gesamten Redaktions- und Veröffentlichungsprozesses
- Mitarbeit bei der Entwicklung des digitalen Redaktionssystems des LEI
- Sicherstellung und Perfektionierung der redaktionsinternen Arbeitsabläufe im Hinblick auf die Redaktionsmethode
- Vorbereitung und Leitung von regelmäßigen inhaltlichen und technischen Schulungen der MitarbeiterInnen
- Inhaltliche Konzipierung und Organisation von facheinschlägigen Workshops und Tagungen
- Sicherstellung der Kommunikation und der Koordination der Tätigkeiten mit den anderen LEI-Arbeitsstellen sowie mit Kooperationspartnern des LEI
- Mitwirkung beim Ausbau von internationalen Vernetzungen und Kooperationsprojekten
- Umfassende PR-Tätigkeit zugunsten des LEI
- Beteiligung und Durchführung des Auswahlprozesses bei der Einstellung neuer MitarbeiterInnen und PraktikantInnen
- Sicherstellung der Einhaltung der arbeitsrechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen
- Allgemeine Verwaltungstätigkeiten (Budget, Personal, Anschaffungen, Abwesenheitsverwaltung, Reiseaktivitäten etc.)

Ihr Profil:
- Abgeschlossenes Universitätsstudium im Fachbereich Romanistik mit einschlägiger sprachhistorischer und philologischer Ausbildung im Bereich der Italianistik
- Solide Erfahrung im Bereich der historischen Wortforschung und der Etymologie, insbesondere im Bereich des Italienischen
- Solide Kenntnisse im Bereich der italienischen Dialektologie
- Erfahrung bei der Redaktion von LEI-Artikeln
- Umfassende EDV-Anwenderkenntnisse (MS Office)
- Gute IT-Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen im digitalen Bereich
- Hohe schriftliche und mündliche Ausdrucksfähigkeit
- Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
- Exzellente Italienischkenntnisse
- Gute Deutschkenntnisse bzw. Bereitschaft, sich diese bald anzueignen
- Gute Kenntnisse weiterer Sprachen
- Erfahrung in der Abwicklung von administrativen Aufgaben
- Führungskompetenzen
- Organisations- und Koordinationsfähigkeiten

Zusatzqualifikation:

Basic information about the Project Lessico Etimologico Italiano (LEI)
The internationally distinguished historical lexicographical long-time project Lessico Etimologico Italiano (Italian Etymological Dictionary, LEI), founded by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Max Pfister in 1968, is currently one of the largest etymological endeavours worldwide. Presently the project is directed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Wolfgang Schweickard (Saarland University) and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Elton Prifti (University of Vienna).

Areas of work:
- Coordination of the LEI-Center (Lessico Etimologico Italiano) at the University of Vienna
- Coordination of editorial tasks (supervision, administration and coordination of editorial assistants and auxiliary staff)
- Operations involving the entire editorial, revision and publication processes
- Cooperation in the development of the digital editorial system of LEI
- Ensuring and perfecting internal editorial workflows with regard to the editorial method
- Preparation and management of training courses for collaborators
- Conceptual design and organization of workshops and conferences
- Communication and coordination of activities with other LEI-Centers and with cooperation partners.
- Comprehensive PR activity for the benefit of LEI
- Participation and implementation of the selection process for the recruitment of new collaborators and trainees
- Ensuring compliance with the legal framework conditions
- General administrative activities

Your profile:
- University degree in Romance Languages and Literatures, with a linguistic and philological qualification in Italian Languages and Literatures.
- Solid research experience in the field of lexicology and etymology, especially in the field of Italian
- Solid knowledge in the field of Italian dialectology
- Experience in editing LEI articles
- Good IT-skills (MS Office)
- High written and oral skills
- Very good command of written and spoken English
- Excellent command of Italian
- Good command of German or willingness to learn it soon
- Good command of other languages
- Experience in handling administrative tasks
- Managerial skills
- Organisation and coordination skills
