The 6th edition of the Jornades de lingüística catalana a Viena will take place on December 12, 2024 at the University of Vienna and will have as its main topic “Pronouns in Catalan”.
We are glad to announce that the following invited speakers have confirmed their participation:

• Marc-Olivier Hinzelin (Universität Hamburg)
• Neus Nogué (Universitat de Barcelona)

Submission deadline: November 3rd, 2024
Notification of acceptance: by November 11th, 2024
We are interested in theoretical as well as empirical approaches to pronouns in Catalan, including experimental or corpus linguistic methodologies. The abstracts can address aspects of Catalan pronouns in synchrony as well as diachrony, or adopt a comparative perspective and contrast Catalan pronouns with other languages.

This years’ Jornades de Lingüística Catalana is organized in collaboration with the subproject “Fading reference – The Pragmaticalization of Pronoun+Verb” of the SFB “Language between Redundancy and Deficiency” at the University of Vienna.
