At the Faculty of Arts, Institute of Romance Studies to be filled by April 01, 2023

Full Professorship (W3) for Romance Literatures

(French/Spanish)

The holder of the professorship will represent the subdisciplines of Romance Studies (French and Spanish) in their entire breadth with regard to both European and non-European literatures and cultures since the 18th century. In research, the future holder of the position must have a proven track record of relevant top-notch publications and of acquiring third-party funding. In addition, a focus in research and teaching in the areas of Latin American Studies and TransArea Studies would be particularly welcome. Additional prerequisites are the ability to connect to the current research foci of the Faculty of Arts and the willingness to engage in interdisciplinary research and teaching collaborations within the faculty as well as in regional and supra-regional specialist networks. Close cooperation with the International Research Training Group Temporalidades del Futuro would also be particularly welcome.
